This outfit got rave reviews by everyone at work. Several people said, “You look so elegant, so old Hollywood!” Everyone wanted to know what the occasion was, but I just smiled and nodded and graciously accepted their compliments.
The dress was so comfortable and flattering, it was much more body conscious than some long dresses can be. The jersey (t-shirt) fabric kept it from being super dressy.
It was a beautiful day here, and spring may finally be in the air here in LA!

I forgot to take a daytime picture so you get this lame indoor one with flash. Oops!
It has been cold and rainy here and I didn’t feel like wearing heels on a day when the weather was so unpredictable.
I’ve never worn this dress with a blazer since I was worried that the ruffles around the neckline would get in the way but actually I think it worked well.
This isn’t exactly a remix – since I’m wearing a total of 2 things. But I also used this month as an opportunity to wear things that I like but don’t get around to wearing often enough. This dress is one of those items.
I love the color and the fact that it has ruffles but not in an overly prissy way. I added the boots for an extra dose of whoop-ass. I feel like the color is more wintery, but maybe with sandals it would also work in the spring.
